Spruce Up your Guest Bedroom

Soon enough, we’ll be able to have guests again. For now, we are taking advantage of this extra time to spruce up our guests bedrooms in preparation for the return of our loved ones!

The Coley bedding bundle includes a top sheet, bottom sheet, duvet cover, and 4 pillowcases

Change out your sheets.

Nothing is more welcoming than soft, smooth sheets. Purchase a designated set (or two) just for your guest bedroom. Make sure they do not get used in any other bedroom in your house so they keep longer for your guests.

Actually, change out everything!

Maybe your throw pillows are getting old and musty, or you’re using your quilt and bedding from college. Time to take a visit to the Custom Pillow Shop! Choose from 30+ fabrics to customize your own!

Clear out space in the closet and dresser drawers.

If you are like us, you probably use your guest room for extra storage. Take this time to organize your own items within the closet and dresser drawers. Try putting everything in opaque or wicker containers. Make sure to leave more than enough space in the closet for your guests to hang up their own clothes, and leave at least two dresser drawers empty. Remember, if you haven’t used it in the past year, it is probably time to donate.

Tend to your bedside table.

First off - make sure you have one! Nothing is worse than having nowhere to put a glass of water. Place a catch-all for jewelry, glasses, cufflinks, etc. Grab a little bud vase, ready for a fresh stem, and stack up a few favorite books and magazines. If you really want to impress, place one of your favorite candles in the room for a little added comfort. Our favorite scents are Diptyque Baies and Jo Malone Lime Basil & Mandarin.

Give the room an instant face lift!

We realize not all budgets allow for an entirely new bed - especially a bed that isn’t slept in on a daily basis! If you already have a standard bed frame, our Crown Headboard is a budget-friendly and easy way to take your bedroom from drab to fab. Now it is really time to “Grow Up and Buy a Headboard” - for the sake of your guests!

Gather some essentials that your guests may forget when traveling.

An extra phone charger, travel shampoo + conditioner, some extra tooth brushes and mini toothpaste are all good to keep on-hand just in case.
