Meet Ashley! A lifestyle blogger based in Charleston, SC, Ashely shares fabulous finds about everything from fashion to traveling! We love her modern, southern style and precious family! Read on to learn all about Ashley and how she styled her Coley Home piece.
I’m a mother of two little girls, realtor and live in Charleston, SC with my husband, daughters and goldendoodle Oliver. I started my blog in 2011 (!!) as a creative outlet when traveling for work and 13 years later here we are! I’m so thankful for the wonderful friends and brands that I’ve met and worked with along the way!
At the end of a busy day I love being able to unwind in our home. Whether that’s curled up on the couch for family movie night, a hot cup of tea, a book and a cozy blanket, or having friends over for dinner on the porch, nothing brings me more joy than being surrounded by those I love and entertaining at home.
Not a product exactly, but I’m always sharing what I’m cooking for the week that’s quick and healthy. Weeknight dinner ideas are easily one of my most asked questions and something I love sharing!
We have a very long living room, so I knew I needed to be strategic with seating. Our tv is on one end of the room, while the couch and fireplace are in the middle. I loved the idea of having a swivel chair where guests could either be by the fireplace/couch for conversations there, or turn towards the television if needed. The velvet fabric and colorway brings such a great texture and warmth to the space and I’m always a fan of a contrasting welt to make a piece extra special. It’s the little details that make the difference!
Splurge – comfortable, high quality upholstered furniture. You can always re-cover down the road if you want to! Antique furniture (I love a timeless brown chest) and beautiful lighting is the jewelry of the space.
Save – accent/decor pieces like coffee table books, items to style a bookshelf with and picture frames. Homegoods and antique markets have the best inexpensive finds!
White Chicken Chili with all the fixings!
A South African safari is my dream trip!
