Meet Mycah, a lifestyle content creator with the sweetest family and style! We love all that she shares, from decorating her Southern home to timeless, feminine style. Read on to learn more about Mycah and how she styled her Coley Home piece.
Hi! I’m Mycah! A grateful wife to my college sweetheart and mother to two precious littles. We live in a charming Southern town filled with moss-covered canopy roads, beautiful rolling hills and old plantations. Most often you’ll find me cooking something healthy in the kitchen, clipping flowers in the garden or dreaming up ways to make our home a beautiful and inviting space!
I wanted the room to feel cozy, charming and elegant. My designer, Mackenzie Page Interiors, and I chose a timeless Colefax & Fowler blue trellis wallpaper to anchor the room. From there, we really leaned into my love of florals and incorporated a beautiful Lee Jofa chintz for the drapes. I knew I wanted to do something more neutral and cozy for the chairs and couldn’t be happier with our selection of the Charli Swivels. They are beyond comfortable, the shape is stunning and their juxtaposition to the ultra feminine wallpaper and drapes creates the perfect balance in the room.
My favorite part is getting to dream up ways to make each room a beautiful space. Looking at wallpaper and fabric samples truly brings me so much joy! As far as challenging, I love to cook so being without a kitchen for the last several months while we renovate has been tough. It will all be worth it though!
My advice is to create a solid foundation so you’re not redesigning everything from scratch in five years. Invest/splurge on furniture that lasts (like Coley!). Save on accessories like rugs, pillows, lamps, etc. Those are easier to swap when your tastes change.
Timeless is always the goal for me! I draw a lot of inspiration from both English and Southern style. In both, the exterior gardens influence much of the interior style and as a lover of florals this speaks to me. For daily inspiration, I follow a lot of interior designers on Instagram and am always saving photos. I also still use Pinterest regularly.
I love a watermelon feta salad in the summertime!
